OUR MISSION

We are committed to empowering people in particularly vulnerable life situations – especially refugees – through education, social support, and sustainable projects. Our work aims not only to provide short-term assistance but also to create long-term prospects that enable genuine self-determination.

As part of the international İmece initiative, we see ourselves as a bridge between committed individuals in Germany and those seeking a safe and dignified life – whether in Turkey, Syria, or elsewhere. Our projects promote concrete skills, collaborative solutions, and solidarity. We work closely with local partners, listen to their needs, learn from one another, and shape the future together.

What drives us is the conviction that every person has the right to participation, protection, and development. We believe in empowering people to help themselves, in collaborative learning – and in the power of communities that stick together. With IMECE Germany, we create spaces where exactly this becomes possible.

Our goals

Strengthening refugees and marginalized groups

IMECE Germany aims to strengthen the independence and self-efficacy of people with a refugee and migration background – through educational programs, qualification measures and social projects that focus on long-term perspectives.

Building transnational solidarity

As part of the international IMECE initiative, IMECE Germany promotes dialogue and cooperation between actors from Germany, Turkey, Syria and other countries – with the aim of translating cross-border solidarity into concrete projects.

Promoting sustainable return options

The association supports projects that enable a voluntary and dignified return to regions of origin – in particular by providing practical skills that facilitate the reconstruction of infrastructure, housing and livelihoods.

Promoting education, participation and empowerment

The association sees education as the key to social participation and more equitable development. Therefore, it supports projects that specifically empower women, children, and young people, strengthening their abilities and giving them access to knowledge and new life perspectives.
